NBA statement on ESPN report regarding Robert Sarver and Suns organization

Phoenix Suns governor Robert Sarver will be investigated following an ESPN report that was released on Thursday.

NEW YORK, Nov. 4, 2021 – NBA Executive Vice President, Communications Mike Bass issued the following statement today on behalf of the NBA and WNBA regarding ESPN’s report about Robert Sarver and the Phoenix Suns organization:

“The allegations contained in today’s ESPN article are extremely serious, and we have directed the Wachtell Lipton law firm to commence a comprehensive investigation.  The NBA and WNBA remain committed to providing a respectful and inclusive workplace for all employees.  Once the investigation is completed, its findings will provide the basis for any league action.”
