Geoff Bodine Named Grand Marshal of 53rd Winchester 400
Winchester Speedway owner Charlie Shaw has named 1986 Daytona 500 winner Geoff Bodine the Grand Marshal for the 53rd Winchester 400 weekend presented by Vores Welding and Steel on October 11-13.
Bodine will be interviewed during the Mayor’s Breakfast on Saturday morning, October 12, and hold autograph sessions through Winchester 400 weekend.
Bodine won 18 NASCAR Cup Series events in his career, including the Daytona 500 in 1986. He also won the International Race of Champions (IROC) title in 1987, as well as the NASCAR All-Star Race in 1994. He was named one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers in 1998 and one of NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers in 2023.
Along with his esteemed NASCAR career, Bodine is the co-owner of the Bo-Dyn Bobsled Project, Inc. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Steven Holcomb piloted the Bo-Dyn Bobsled “Night Train” to a gold medal for the United States.
