Action-Packed World Series Weekend Coming Up at Thompson

Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park kicks off the year with the Icebreaker and wraps it up with another huge racing weekend in the World Series of Speedway Racing. This weekend, fans at the Connecticut venue can look forward to enjoying three full days of racing.

The racing action kicks off on Friday, featuring six different divisions on the track. The main event of Night #1 is the Modified Racing Series, which includes a 75-lap feature. Additionally, the R&R Open Street Stock Series, Open Mini Stocks, Late Models, and Senior Tour Auto Racers will also hit the track. The first leg of the Sunoco Modifieds Triple Crown is also set to take place.

Saturday is set to provide an abundance of thrilling short-track races, divided into seven categories. Fans of Late Model racing can look forward to the PASS Super Late Models and the American-Canadian Tour, each featuring 75 laps. Fans of Modified racing can enjoy the Outlaw Open Modified 100-lap race, the second Sunoco Modified feature, and a 22-lap race for Pro 4 Modifieds. The exciting New England Supermodified Series will also compete for 50 laps, and a 20-lap Mini Stock feature race is also scheduled.

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will compete for 150 laps on Sunday, bringing an incredible weekend of racing to a close. The Sunday card will also feature the Sunoco Modifieds, Limited Sportsman, SK Lights, NEMA Lites, and EXIT Realty Truck Series on the track.

Overall, the World Series weekend features over 800 laps of main racing, excluding heat racing for the majority of divisions during the weekend.
