Thunder veteran George Hill out at least 4 weeks with thumb injury

This season, George Hill has started 14 games for Oklahoma City.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Thunder announced that guard George Hill underwent a minor procedure today to address a mallet finger injury of his right thumb.

Hill has started in 14 games this season, averaging 11.8 points and 3.1 assists each game. His shooting averages are 50.8 percent from the field, 38.6 percent from the three-point line, and 84.0 percent from the free-throw line. He plays an average of 26.3 minutes per game.

In four weeks, Hill will undergo a reevaluation. Steve Shin performed the procedure at the Kerlen-Jobe Institute located in Los Angeles, Calif.
