Kevin Love reinserted into Heat starting lineup for Game 2 of NBA Finals
Kevin Love had not played for the Heat since Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Miami Heat made a significant lineup change for Game 2 of the NBA Finals, reinstating Kevin Love into the starting lineup.
Love scored six points with 10 rebounds in 22 minutes and helped spread the floor as the Heat rallied past the Denver Nuggets 111-108. The NBA Finals is now tied 1-1.
NBA TV’s Jared Greenberg was the first to report that the Heat planned to start Love at power forward over Caleb Martin, who started in the Game 1 loss.
Martin, who is battling a non-COVID illness, scored 3 points off the bench in 21 minutes.
Tyler Herro remained sidelined as he recovers from a broken hand, though there’s hope he could return for Game 3 on Wednesday.
