FIBA World Cup USAB exhibition schedule
The United States will play five exhibitions over the next two weeks before the World Cup begins on Aug. 25.
Anthony Edwards erupted for 34 points on 11-for-21 shooting, helping the U.S. Men’s Basketball Team erase a 16-point deficit late in the third quarter to defeat Germany 99-91 in the fifth and final game of its World Cup exhibition tour.
USAB World Cup Exhibition Schedule:
- Monday, Aug. 7: USA 117, Puerto Rico 74
- Saturday, Aug. 12: USA 92, Slovenia 62
- Sunday, Aug. 13: USA 98, Spain 88
- Friday, Aug. 18: USA 108, Greece 86
- Sunday, Aug. 20: USA 99, Germany 91
Team USA will play the first of three World Cup group games in the Philippines against New Zealand on Aug. 26, followed by Greece (Aug. 28) and Jordan (Aug. 30).
The squad is looking to bounce back from a seventh-place finish at the 2019 World Cup, its worst showing in 15 major tournaments since USA Basketball began incorporating NBA players for the 1992 Olympics.
