Magic's Mo Wagner to begin serving his 2-game suspension
Mo Wagner will begin serving his 2-game suspension on Jan. 4.
NEW YORK — Orlando Magic center Moritz Wagner will begin serving his two-game suspension for his role in a Dec. 28 on-court altercation when the Magic plays host to the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight at Amway Center. Wagner will serve the second game of his suspension tomorrow night in the Magic’s home game vs. the Memphis Grizzlies.
Wagner was initially scheduled to serve the first game of his suspension on Dec. 30 vs. the Washington Wizards, however, NBA rules require that a player must be physically able to play in order to serve a league suspension. Due to illness, Wagner was not physically able to play on Dec. 30 and therefore the suspension will begin tonight.
