F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed that Verstappen might have secured the pole after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, outdoing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton qualifying ahead of George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and secure points-paying positions, with Valtteri Bottas from Sauber joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
The ninth row is entirely made up of RB drivers, with Yuki Tsunoda in the lead followed by Daniel Ricciardo. Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams will essentially make up the final row in the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon fell back to the pit lane after his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
