F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured pole position after improving slightly in his final run, but Norris outperformed him with a time of 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole position for himself.
The second row will be exclusively Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
For the Spanish Grand Prix grid, the top 10 is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the attempt to break into the top 10 and earn points-paying positions, with Valtteri Bottas from Sauber joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate in Aston Martin, will form the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, followed by Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant who will essentially form the final row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was forced to drop to the pit lane.
