Griffin misses third straight game for Pistons

DETROIT (AP) — Blake Griffin is out for a third straight game because of left knee soreness, leaving the Detroit Pistons short-handed again as the playoff race winds down.

On Wednesday night, Detroit, in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, played a game against Indiana. The Pistons were only 1½ games ahead of Orlando, who was in the ninth place.

This season, Griffin has largely evaded injury, participating in 72 games, but recently he has been absent from the Pistons’ roster.

Griffin is currently maintaining an average of 24.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists. This is his highest number of games played since he participated in 80 games in the 2013-14 season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
