F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his final run, Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after improving by a few more tenths. However, Norris outperformed him with a time of 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to clinch the pole position for himself.
The second row will be completely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton qualifying ahead of George Russell for only the second time this season. On row three, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local hero, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the attempt to break into the top 10 and point-earning positions. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg of Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate at Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They are ahead of Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber car and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB ninth row, while Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon had to move to the pit lane after his team chose to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
