F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might have secured pole after his final run, having found a few more tenths. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, outperforming Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and ultimately snatching the pole for himself.
Lewis Hamilton has outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, making the second row all-Mercedes. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite Carlos Sainz on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the effort to breach the top 10 and secure points-paying positions. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They are ahead of Zhou Guanyu, who is in the second Sauber, and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB ninth row, while Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Following a team decision to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon fell back to the pit lane.
