Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.

Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen

It seemed that Verstappen might have secured the pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris outdid him with a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to clinch the pole position for himself.

Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, securing an all-Mercedes second row. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc led his Ferrari team-mate and local favourite, Carlos Sainz, to form the third row.

The top 10 of the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.
