F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his final run, Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after finding a few more tenths. However, Norris outperformed him with a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and securing the pole for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc has outqualified his Ferrari team-mate and local hero, Carlos Sainz, to take a spot in the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to break into the top 10 and earn points-paying positions, with Valtteri Bottas of Sauber joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will make up the seventh row, preceding Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In the ninth row of all-RB, Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo, while Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant essentially make up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to modify his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
