F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed like Verstappen had secured the pole position after shaving a few tenths off his final run, but Norris surprised everyone by delivering a 1:11.383, beating Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and grabbing the pole position for himself.
The second row will be all Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. Perez will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will form the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in all-RB row nine, while Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to switch his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon fell back to the pit lane.
