F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his final run, Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after discovering a few more tenths. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, outperforming Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to clinch the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, placing them both in an all-Mercedes second row. On row three, Charles Leclerc stands ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 of the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and score points. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu, who is in the second Sauber, and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB ninth row, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant essentially making up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to modify his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon fell back to the pit lane.
