F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris outdid him by delivering a 1:11.383, edging out Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton will be joined by George Russell on the all-Mercedes second row, having outqualified him for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will precede his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to breach the top 10 and secure points-earning positions. This comes after his three-place grid penalty, issued in Canada, has been applied. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg of Haas and Lance Stroll, who is Alonso’s team-mate at Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They are followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB ninth row for the Spanish Grand Prix, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant forming the back row. After the team decided to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
