F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It initially appeared that Verstappen had secured pole position after shaving off a few more tenths in his last run. However, Norris outperformed Verstappen by a slim margin of 0.02s with a 1:11.383 timing, stealing the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Meanwhile, on the third row, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez will spearhead the attempt to penetrate the top 10 and move into positions that earn points. This comes after his three-place grid penalty from Canada was applied. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will be joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They are ahead of Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB ninth row, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams forming the back row at the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon moved to the pit lane.
