F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed like Verstappen might secure the pole after shaving off a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and seizing the pole for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, securing an all-Mercedes second row. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc is set to start ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favourite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
For the Spanish Grand Prix grid, the top 10 is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the attempt to break into the top 10 and earn points. He will be joined on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, who is Alonso’s team-mate at Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber car and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In all-RB row nine, Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo. Meanwhile, Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was moved to the pit lane after the team decided to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
