F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after improving by a few tenths in his final run. However, Norris snatched the pole position for himself by delivering a 1:11.383, edging out Verstappen by a mere 0.02s.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton out qualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to crack the top 10 and earn points, despite his three-place grid penalty from Canada. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, preceding Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB ninth row, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant forming the final row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was sent back to the pit lane.
