F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed like Verstappen might have secured pole after shaving off a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, outperforming Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, making it an all-Mercedes second row. Ahead of them on row three, Charles Leclerc leads his Ferrari teammate and hometown hero, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin’s teammate of Alonso, will be in the seventh row, preceding Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams effectively making up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane following his team’s decision to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
