F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It appeared that Verstappen had secured the pole after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris proved superior with a 1:11.383, narrowly outperforming Verstappen by just 0.02s to claim the pole for himself.
Lewis Hamilton has outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, securing an all-Mercedes second row. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate, home hero Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez will attempt to break into the top 10 and points-paying positions, with Valtteri Bottas of Sauber accompanying him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo make up an all-RB row nine, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams effectively forming the last row at the Spanish Grand Prix. After a decision to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
