F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after improving his time in his final run. However, Norris outperformed him by delivering a 1:11.383, beating Verstappen’s time by a mere 0.02s, securing the pole for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc, who is ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local hero Carlos Sainz, will be on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez aims to break into the top 10 and score points, with Valtteri Bottas of Sauber joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
The ninth row is entirely made up of RB drivers, with Yuki Tsunoda leading Daniel Ricciardo. Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the last row at the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane after the team decided to modify his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
