F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might secure pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole for himself.
Lewis Hamilton has outqualified George Russell for the second time this season, securing an all-Mercedes second row. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favourite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and secure point-paying positions. This follows his three-place grid penalty from Canada. He will be accompanied on the sixth row by Valtteri Bottas from Sauber.
Nico Hulkenberg of Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate at Aston Martin, will occupy the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB ninth row, while Williams’ racers, Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant, essentially make up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was sent to the pit lane after the team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
