F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen had secured pole in his final run after gaining a few more tenths. However, Norris posted a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outpacing George Russell for only the second time this season. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc outqualified his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, for the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and score points. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will be joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In row nine of the all-RB, Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant essentially making up the final row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was forced to move to the pit lane when the team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
