F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed that Verstappen might have secured the pole after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris outperformed him by delivering a 1:11.383, which was only 0.02s faster, thereby snatching the pole for himself.
The second row will be completely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outpacing George Russell for only the second time this season. On the third row, Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and score points. He will be joined on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They are ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB ninth row, while Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams will essentially make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
