  • Jaden Springer

76ers receive:

  • 2024 second-round pick

In a separate move, the Celtics have traded forward Dalano Banton to the Portland Trail Blazers for a second-round pick.

Blazers receive:

  • Dalano Banton
  • Cash considerations

What trade means: Aside from the Celtics and 76ers each receiving future second-round picks in these trades, the Celtics get a potential rotation player in Springer. He has played the most minutes in his three-year career this season, posting 4 ppg, 1.8 rpg and 1.1 apg in 11.8 mpg for the Sixers. He was a regular part of the team’s rotation over the last month.

Banton has joined the Blazers, a team currently sifting through their young talent during their rebuild. His season average stands at 2.3 points per game (ppg) and 1.5 assists per game (apg). He will be added to a frontcourt rotation, which includes Kris Murray, Matisse Thybulle, Jermai Grant, and others.
