F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured pole position after gaining a few extra tenths in his final run. However, Norris pulled off a 1:11.383, edging out Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to claim the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc, in the lead of his Ferrari teammate and hometown hero Carlos Sainz, will be on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid includes Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following the application of his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points-paying positions. He will be accompanied on row six by Valtteri Bottas from Sauber.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant essentially making up the final row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon moved back to the pit lane.
