F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
After gaining a few more tenths in his final run, it seemed as if Verstappen might have secured the pole position. However, Norris outperformed him by delivering a 1:11.383, beating Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, and ultimately snatching the pole for himself.
Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes outqualified teammate George Russell for the second time this season, ensuring an all-Mercedes second row. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc outperformed Ferrari teammate and local favourite Carlos Sainz, securing their spots on the third row.
The top 10 of the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and earn points, with Valtteri Bottas of Sauber accompanying him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, leading Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
The ninth row is completely occupied by RB racers, with Yuki Tsunoda leading Daniel Ricciardo. Meanwhile, Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After the team decided to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was moved to the pit lane.
