F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might secure pole position after shaving off a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, besting Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, thereby clinching the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, securing an all-Mercedes second row. Charles Leclerc outperformed his Ferrari team-mate and local hero, Carlos Sainz, to lead on the third row.
For the Spanish Grand Prix grid, the top 10 are completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. He will be accompanied on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will be in the seventh row, preceding Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo make up an all-RB row nine, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams team forming the rear row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane following the team’s decision to alter his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
