F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after improving his time in his final run, but Norris bested him by delivering a 1:11.383, a mere 0.02s faster, to snatch the pole position for himself.
The second row will be solely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton qualifying ahead of George Russell for only the second time this season. The third row will feature Charles Leclerc in the lead, followed by his Ferrari teammate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will be in the seventh row, preceding Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
The ninth row is completely occupied by RB, with Yuki Tsunoda leading Daniel Ricciardo. The last row for the Spanish Grand Prix will essentially be formed by Alex Albon from Williams and Logan Sargeant. Albon was relegated to the pit lane after his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
