Curry is in the midst of an outstanding season and is coming off a standout performance on Thursday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He scored 20 points in the fourth quarter en route to a 40-point game as the Warriors climbed from a 13-point deficit to win 104-89.
He played in the game with a bruised left hip, yet Curry finished 15 of 27 from the field, 9 of 16 beyond the arc and 1 of 1 from the foul line. The two-time MVP increased his NBA-best scoring average to 29.5 and had six assists and four rebounds. Green had four points and 14 assists in the win last night as well as Golden State improved to an NBA-best 13-2.
Iguodala has appeared in 12 games this season, averaging 3.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in 20.8 minutes per game off the bench. He sat out the Cleveland game due to injury-management reasons. Porter Jr. is averaging 6.0 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 1.1 apg in 17.0 mpg while providing valuable 3-point shooting (38.6%).
Green and Curry have started and appeared in every game for Golden State this season. It is unclear who will sub into Green and Curry’s starting roles against Detroit, but reserves Damion Lee, Gary Payton II, Nemanja Bjelica and Juan Toscano-Anderson have all proven of more playing time given their strong play off the bench this season.
