Turner Sports to present special 'Open Court: Sports and Society' show

Turner Sports will present a special Open Court: Sports and Society roundtable show as a part of TNT’s NBA Opening Night pre-game coverage on Tuesday, Oct. 25, starting at 5 p.m. ET. The hour-long discussion from the NBA on TNT Road Show in Cleveland will cover a wide range of topics including Black Lives Matter, anti-LGBT laws, protests orchestrated by athletes and more.

The Sports Emmy Award winning Inside the NBA studio team of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal will be joined during Open Court by Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Brown and L.A. Clippers NBA All-Star Chris Paul. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and NBPA Executive Director Michele Roberts will also weigh in on the topics when they join the TNT NBA Tip-Off presented by AutoTrader pre-game show later that evening to discuss the upcoming season as well as current social storylines.

Johnson, Barkley, Smith and O’Neal will be on site in Cleveland throughout the entire evening beginning with Open Court and followed by the TNT NBA Tip-Off presented by AutoTrader pre-game show at 6 p.m., the American Express Halftime Report and the post-game Inside the NBA presented by Kia.

TNT’s Opening Night presented by Autotrader doubleheader will tip off with the defending NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James hosting the New York Knicks and Carmelo Anthony at 7:30 p.m. In the night’s second game, the Golden State Warriors will host the San Antonio Spurs and Kawhi Leonard at 10:30 p.m.
