Mountain Dew Super Trey Day to show love to the 3-pointer
For the second year in a row, FanDuel and Mountain Dew are teaming up to bring you Mountain Dew Super Trey Day, which will be held March 3. Mountain Dew Super Trey Day focuses on 3-pointers, and FanDuel will have contests and promotions to celebrate one of the most exciting ways to score in basketball.
The popularity of the 3-point shot has changed basketball forever and you can’t have Mountain Dew Super Trey Day without thinking of Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry.
Earlier this season, Curry passed Ray Allen for most 3-pointers made in NBA history with 2,974. Curry’s total stands at 3,093 made triples and counting as of March 3.
Two weeks ago in Cleveland, Curry turned in the greatest long-distance shooting performance in NBA All-Star Game history, knocking down 16 of 27 3s on the way to 50 points and MVP honors.
James Harden, who was recently traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Philadelphia 76ers, needs just four 3s to pass Reggie Miller (2,560) for third on the all-time 3-pointers made list.
Here are some of the ways the NBA and FanDuel will honor the 3-ball on its sports holiday.

With seven NBA games on Thursday, here are some of the shooters you should consider:
Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young is capable of heating up in a hurry and has made eight 3-pointers in a game seven times in his career.
Boston Celtics wing Jayson Tatum is a streaky shooter, who once nailed nine 3s in a game.
Although he isn’t really known for his 3-point shooting, is there anything Memphis guard Ja Morant doesn’t do well right now?
Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry is the 3-point king and leads the NBA with 261 made triples this season.
Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet is second in the NBA in 3-point makes with 208.
Brooklyn Nets sharpshooter Patty Mills is fourth in the league with 189 made 3-pointers.
