Weekend Stat Sheet from Indianapolis and More
Whether it was NASCAR at Indianapolis, the big American-Canadian Tour $10,000 showdown at White Mountain Motorsports Park, or even Super Late Models in Idaho, there was plenty of racing to go around this weekend. Here is a look at some of the notable stats from the weekend.
– Bubba Wallace’s fifth-place finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway was his third top-five of the season and third straight finish in the top 10. Wallace would likely still need a win to gain a playoff spot, but this team seems to be trending in the right direction.
– NASCAR Cup Series rookies Harrison Burton and Todd Gilliland posted career-best finishes on the road course at Indy over the weekend. Burton was third while Gilliland was fourth.

– When it comes to going left and right, there is no one better on road courses in the NASCAR Xfinity Series then A.J. Allmendinger. With his win at Indy on the road course Saturday, Allmendinger now has nine road course wins in the series alone. More impressively, he has 18 top five runs in 22 starts on the road courses.
– It’s hard to make predictions in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Whether it's the number of winners or the contenders at bay, this season has been interesting. Grant Enfinger established himself as a title contender as he scored the win at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park after just his fourth top-five finish of the season in 17 races. Enfinger also becomes the 13th different winner in 17 races this season.

– Haeden Plybon became the 17th different winner of the Idaho 200 at Stateline Speedway. It was his fourth start in the Idaho 200 and helped him rebound after finishing 17th a year prior. His career best was ninth back in 2019.
– Everyone pulls out their cars and start getting ready for the Oxford 250 this time of year. Former winner Jeremie Whorff is in that category as he won the second 100-lap race in the Triple Crown series this past weekend. The victory marks the 12th different driver to win a weekly feature this season at Oxford.
– DJ Shaw became the fourth different winner of the Milton CAT 250 at White Mountian Motorsports Park (NH). The ACT point leader picked a fine time to win his first ACT race of the season. While Shaw is chasing more glory, the attention in some way would turn to that fact he could be in line to win another 250 lap race at Oxford with the PASS Super Late Models next month.

– When a NASCAR Cup guy beats another NASCAR Cup guy there is not really a ton of news around it. However, Erik Jones beat William Byron, who had won six consecutive races in a Super Late Model, which makes it a big deal. Jones got it done at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park over the weekend. There are good chances these two will be fending for some of the bigger Super Late Model shows later this season.

– Last Wednesday, PASS points leader Ryan Kuhn won at Seekonk, but the stat of the night was the absence of Ben Rowe, who would miss his first race in series history. Rowe made 316 straight PASS North point race starts. Rowe will likely be back racing in a few weeks after he split with long-time car owner Richard Moody.

– In a battle of the Smiths, Chandler Smith was able to grab the lead before halfway and win again at IRP in the ARCA Menards Series. Chandler Smith beat out Sammy Smith for his third win at the track. The Smith boys, not related, led all 200 laps to claim the top two spots.
