Veteran Suns point guard Chris Paul has surpassed Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson for sixth place among the NBA’s career assists leaders.

Paul, 35, surpassed Robertson in the second quarter of Saturday’s game against the Grizzlies, driving and kicking to Mikal Bridges for an open 3-pointer.

The milestone came on the heels of Paul’s 19-assist masterpiece against the Pelicans for his highest single-game total in four seasons.
Paul is averaging 8.6 assists per game with the Suns, also his highest average in four seasons. His career average of 9.4 assists per game ranks fourth in NBA history.
