The Utah Jazz White defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 94-75 at the Salt Lake City Summer League at Vivint Arena on Wednesday night.
Utah White has been the best team in the Utah Summer League, and a wire-to-wire win here shows why. They kicked things off with a 26-18 first quarter and put the game away behind a 19-10 second quarter. That 17-point lead was extended to 25 points at times, with Memphis never getting within double-digits in the second half. Utah White outscored Memphis in the paint, 48-28. That led to the Jazz shooting 51 percent from the field while holding the Grizzlies below 36 percent shooting.
Shaq Buchanan led the Grizzlies with 17 points, two rebounds and three assists. Keaton Wallace matched those 17 points to lead the bench, providing three rebounds, three assists and three steals as well. Ahmad Caver tallied 12 points, three rebounds and seven assists.
All five starters reached double figures for Utah, with Udoka Azubuike leading the team with 19 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Trent Forest provided 10 points, three rebounds, 13 assists and three steals. Jarrell Brantley amassed 19 points and five boards.
Both teams will finish off their Utah Summer League on Friday, with Utah White facing Utah Blue and Memphis playing the San Antonio Spurs.
