Pacers' T.J. McConnell out at least 10-12 weeks after wrist surgery

T.J. McConnell could be done for the season after undergoing wrist surgery.

Indiana Pacers guard T.J. McConnell underwent right hand surgery and is expected to be out at least 10-12 weeks, the team announced. The surgery was done to repair a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist.

McConnell played three minutes in a Dec. 1 loss against the Atlanta Hawks before exiting with the wrist injury.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the surgery.

McConnell, 29, inked a four-year deal to remain with the Pacers this past summer. The seventh-year guard is averaging 8.4 points, 4.8 assists and 1.0 steal through 24 games this season.

The Pacers are 10-16 and 13th in the Eastern Conference.
