F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Following his final run, it seemed as though Verstappen might secure the pole position after shaving off a few more tenths. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, narrowly outdoing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, and claimed the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will form an all-Mercedes second row, with Hamilton outqualifying Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be in front of his Ferrari team-mate and local hero Carlos Sainz on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez is gearing up to break into the top 10 and earn points-paying positions, despite his three-place grid penalty from Canada. He is accompanied on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Haas’ Nico Hulkenberg and Alonso’s Aston Martin team-mate Lance Stroll will form row seven, ahead of Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen in the Haas.
In the all-RB row nine, Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams forming the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was moved to the pit lane as his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
