F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured pole in his final run after finding a few more tenths, but Norris outperformed him by delivering a 1:11.383, which was just 0.02s faster, allowing Norris to claim the pole for himself.
Lewis Hamilton will be ahead of George Russell on the all-Mercedes second row, marking only the second time this season he has outqualified Russell. The third row will feature Charles Leclerc, who outqualified his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 of the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and score points. Valtteri Bottas from Sauber will be accompanying him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB ninth row, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams forming the back row at the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane after his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
