F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might secure pole position after improving his time by a few tenths in his final run. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, narrowly surpassing Verstappen by just 0.02s to claim pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, as Lewis Hamilton managed to outqualify George Russell for only the second time this season. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc will precede his Ferrari team-mate and local star, Carlos Sainz, in the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. Valtteri Bottas from Sauber will be alongside him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s teammate from Aston Martin, will be in the seventh row. They will be followed by Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB ninth row, while Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams will essentially make up the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was moved to the pit lane after his team decided to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
