F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his final run, Verstappen seemed to be securing the pole position after shaving off a few more tenths. However, Norris outdid him by delivering a 1:11.383, just 0.02s faster than Verstappen, thus stealing the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely comprised of Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc leads his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite Carlos Sainz in the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and secure point-paying positions. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will be joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate at Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In the all-RB ninth row, Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams forming the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Due to a team decision to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
