F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as if Verstappen might secure pole position after improving his final run by a few more tenths. However, Norris outdid him by clocking 1:11.383, just 0.02s quicker than Verstappen, to secure the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued back in Canada, Sergio Perez aims to break into the top 10 and score points. He will be leading this endeavor with Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas accompanying him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas, alongside Lance Stroll from Aston Martin, Alonso’s teammate, will form the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber, and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB row nine. Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams will essentially form the back row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After a decision from the team to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was moved to the pit lane.
