F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his final run, Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole after finding a few more tenths. However, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, thus snatching the pole for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for the second time this season, making it an all-Mercedes second row. Charles Leclerc, meanwhile, is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and secure points-paying positions. This follows his three-place grid penalty applied in Canada, with Valtteri Bottas of Sauber joining him on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu in the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
The ninth row is entirely filled with RB drivers, with Yuki Tsunoda leading ahead of Daniel Ricciardo. Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams will essentially make up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane when the team chose to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
