F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It appeared that Verstappen may have secured the pole position after gaining a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris managed to improve his time to 1:11.383, beating Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and claiming the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for only the second time this season, securing an all-Mercedes second row. On the third row, Charles Leclerc is ahead of his Ferrari team-mate and local favourite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 of the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the effort to crack the top 10 and earn points. He will be accompanied on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row, followed by Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB row nine at the Spanish Grand Prix, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant of Williams forming the back row. Albon was relegated to the pit lane due to a change in his Energy Store and Control Electronics by the team.
