F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his final run, Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after gaining a few more tenths. However, Norris outperformed him by delivering a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s, thereby claiming the pole position for himself.
The second row will be entirely Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outqualifying George Russell for only the second time this season. Charles Leclerc will be ahead of his Ferrari teammate and local hero, Carlos Sainz, on the third row.
The top 10 for the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez has been tasked with breaking into the top 10 and scoring points, despite his three-place grid penalty from Canada. He will be accompanied by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin team-mate of Alonso, will be in the seventh row. They are ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in the all-RB ninth row, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant essentially making up the last row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After his team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon fell back to the pit lane.
