F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
It seemed as though Verstappen might have secured pole position after shaving off a few more tenths in his final run. However, Norris pulled off a stunning 1:11.383, beating Verstappen by a slim 0.02s margin and clinching the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for the second time this season, ensuring an all-Mercedes second row. On row three, Charles Leclerc of Ferrari will be ahead of team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso round out the top 10 on the grid for the Spanish Grand Prix.

Following the application of his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez aims to break into the top 10 and secure points-paying positions. Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas will be joining him on the sixth row in this endeavor.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Aston Martin’s teammate of Alonso, will be in the seventh row, in front of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo make up an all-RB ninth row, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant forming the final row for the Spanish Grand Prix. After a decision to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon has moved to the pit lane.
