F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
After Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position in his final run, Norris delivered a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a slim 0.02s and securing the pole position for himself.
Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell for the second time this season, securing an all-Mercedes second row. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc outpaced Ferrari team-mate and local favorite Carlos Sainz, placing them on the third row.
For the Spanish Grand Prix grid, the top 10 is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Following his three-place grid penalty issued in Canada, Sergio Perez will spearhead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn points. He will be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will create the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber team and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda leads Daniel Ricciardo in an all-RB row nine, with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams forming the last row at the Spanish Grand Prix. After a decision by the team to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics, Albon was relegated to the pit lane.
