F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
Verstappen seemed to have secured pole in his final run after finding a few more tenths, until Norris delivered a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s to seize the pole position for himself.
The second row will entirely consist of Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton outperforming George Russell for only the second time this season. Ahead on the third row is Charles Leclerc, followed by his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
The top 10 of the Spanish Grand Prix grid is completed by Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso.

Sergio Perez is set to spearhead the attempt to break into the top 10 and secure points-paying positions, after being imposed a three-place grid penalty in Canada. He’ll be joined by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas on the sixth row.
Nico Hulkenberg of Haas and Lance Stroll, Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will be in the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo are all set to form an all-RB row nine at the Spanish Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Williams’ Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will essentially make up the back row. Albon was relegated to the pit lane after his team decided to change his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
