F1 starting grid: What is the grid order for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix?

Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen to pole for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying battle.
With Verstappen in the Red Bull and McLaren’s Norris joined by the Ferrari and Mercedes duos seemingly in the battle for pole, it was Verstappen and Norris who emerged from this pack as Norris secured that P1 grid slot for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Lando Norris snatches Spanish GP pole from Max Verstappen
In his final run, Verstappen seemed to have secured the pole position after finding a few more tenths. However, Norris outperformed him by delivering a 1:11.383, surpassing Verstappen by a mere 0.02s and claiming the pole for himself.
The second row will be completely occupied by Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton surpassing George Russell in qualifications for just the second time this season. Meanwhile, on the third row, Charles Leclerc takes the lead over his Ferrari team-mate and local favorite, Carlos Sainz.
Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, and Fernando Alonso round out the top 10 on the grid for the Spanish Grand Prix.

Following his three-place grid penalty from Canada, Sergio Perez is set to lead the effort to break into the top 10 and earn point-paying positions. He will be joined on the sixth row by Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.
Nico Hulkenberg from Haas and Lance Stroll, who is Alonso’s team-mate from Aston Martin, will make up the seventh row. They will be ahead of Zhou Guanyu from the second Sauber and Kevin Magnussen from Haas.
In an all-RB lineup, Yuki Tsunoda is leading Daniel Ricciardo in the ninth row. Meanwhile, Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant from Williams will essentially make up the last row in the Spanish Grand Prix. Albon was relegated to the pit lane when the team decided to replace his Energy Store and Control Electronics.
